An independent car rental business built around one idea: getting the car to you, not the other way round.
Coastline Drive was founded in 2014 in Girne, starting with a small number of vehicles serving guests staying along the north coast. The original idea was simple: too many visitors were arriving on holiday and losing half a day sorting out a rental car from a counter, when what they actually wanted was to get to their hotel and start their trip. We built the business around delivery from day one.
Over the years the fleet grew steadily alongside demand, particularly from UK and European travellers visiting the north coast, and from families renting holiday properties who needed a car for the length of their stay rather than a one-off airport transfer. Today we run a fleet of around 50 vehicles, still based from the same part of Girne, still doing most of our business through delivery rather than counter collection.
We're still an independent, locally run company rather than part of a franchise network. That means when something needs sorting out — a different pickup time, a question about a route, an unexpected change to your plans — you're usually talking directly to someone who can just make a decision, rather than working through a call centre.
We keep our fleet to a manageable size on purpose. It means every vehicle gets looked after properly between rentals, and it means our team actually knows the cars we're renting out.
Our customers are a genuine mix — Northern Cyprus residents needing a car for a few days, UK and European tourists staying at hotels or holiday properties along the coast, Turkish visitors, families, and business travellers passing through Lefkoşa or Girne. Different trips need different things, which is part of why our fleet spans everything from small city cars to 7- and 8-seat family vehicles.
